Almost every newspaper in the United States will print a congratulations story to the first baby born in their city or county in the New Year, and typically some of those first babies born turn out to be twins.
You can probably search the following local newspaper's web sites to learn more about these 2009 firsts, but cities I've seen that indicated the first baby born in their region on the year were twins included:
